Finger
pickin ’ good…
Welcome to the 60th edition of Scratch magazine.
This issue is jam-packed with fascinating facts, motivational ideas,
business concepts and
inspirational techniques from all over the world.
This month Scratch offers step-by-steps from Korea and Russia, expert
advice from Tony
Cuccio in the USA, a look at the latest, most exciting innovation to
be launched on the
market from the USA – Minx – in this month’s cover
story and celebrates 25 years of OPI
UK in the form of Lena White Ltd’s anniversary profile.
One of the most exciting and inspirational articles on offer is the
salon style feature. If you’ve been pondering a salon transformation
or new salon set up, then Gemma Ward has come up with the answer to
your style queries and it’s fun too! Turn to page 31, check out
the mini Q&A and then have your salon style and direction revealed
to you in all its furniture, colour and concept glory. It really will
help you make those fundamental and powerful decisions that lead onto
salon success.
It’s now just six weeks until the Nailympics London event is happening
on UK shores. Don’t put off the inevitable – get registered
now – it’s time to turn your creativity into a new challenge
and get on that competition circuit. It’s great for your skills,
networking capabilities and you may just get a medal and certifi cate,
if not a trophy, for your salon wall too!
And that reminds me. The Great Scratch Shoot Out!2008 photo competition
is motoring towards deadline now also. Friday 4 May is when I need to
have the entries in, so they can be judged, mounted and sent onto Olympia
Beauty to be hung in the gallery for industry perusal and enjoyment.
So let’s make 2008 a happening year for us all and get those registrations
and entries in to me as soon as you can.
I am looking forward to another incredible Nailympics London competition,
but only if
you’re there to share it with me.
See you next month at Olympia!
