I've just got back home after being in at the Nailympics London for the weekend. THis was the 4th time the event has been held in London and it was great to see 23 countries represented; everything from Iceland and South Africa to Holland and Japan, Finland to Russia and Croatia to Ireland. So a fantastic blend of cultures was enjoyed as 121 competitors signed up to show what their skills were made of.
The July issue will carry the complete story as SCratch is already on press day - suffice to say - rock on London! It was a sensational display of experts and the excitement invoked at the Awards Ceremony had me fighting back the tears as Koreans, Swedes, Germans et al displayed pure, extreme, unabated joy when their names were called. It was an event to behold.
Thank you to all who took time, energy and expenditure to support this event by competing and thank you of course to the sponsors who made it possible - Christrio, Cuccio, Palms Extra and Scratch.
The judging panel also deserves a special mention as this year saw a global conglomeration to simply die for. Thank you to this international panel of experts who made the weekend a very professional, special and unique industry competition experience.
