Dubbed ‘The voice of an angel’ by no less than Beyoncé, and with sparkling fingertips that looked heaven sent, Adele performed live at the 54^th Annual Grammy Awards last week. Bringing back the Louboutin nail (where the underside of the nail bed is painted red – queue nail growing treatments and a rush on acrylic), Adele wore the beautiful sparkling Ciaté Jewel on top of her nails and Ciaté Mistress beneath. On the night the 23 year old star was manicured by UK nail technician Mike Pocock.

Not only did the songstress pick up a staggering six awards on the night – winning every category she was nominated in – she also performed her latest single Rolling In The Deep to a standing ovation.

Last week Scratch assistant editor Helena Biggs and features writer Kayleigh Baker checked in at Chancery Lane’s MW Nails. This unique aviation-inspired salon invited the pair to choose a treatment from its airline-inspired menu; services such as the deluxe 90-minute manicure Captains Cockpit, to Shanghai Shape, a simple file and polish.
