Show off your skills and share your nail talents by taking part in Scratch’s annual photographic competition, The Great Scratch Shoot Out!
The theme is open, so any concept goes, but the judging panel (which includes editor Alex Fox, deputy editor Helen Stone, features writer Helena Biggs, art editor Jess Wilkie and organisers Kayleigh Baker and Janine Derbyshire) will be marking each entry with focus on the following points:
- Nail skill and complexity
- Originality of concept
- Clarity of shot
- Use of colour/lighting
- Overall styling
- Nail design
- Model choice
- Composition of shot
In 2010 techs from 10 countries took part and the 51 entries were displayed at the Olympia Beauty trade show in London. The same will apply this year, where an estimated 20,000 visitors are expected to see the entries at the show on 18 and 19 September. Winners will be announced at the Nailympics London awards ceremony on 19 September.
