Liverpool named fake tan capital of the UK

A new report has dubbed Liverpool as the fake tan capital of the UK.
Online hair and beauty retailer Hairtrade.com looked at which cities stocked up on tanning products. Check out the table of results below.
Women from Yorkshire were found to be big fake tan fans with Huddersfield coming second in the table. The cities of Halifax and Leeds also make an appearance in the top ten at fourth and seventh place respectively.
Beauty fans in the port city of Southampton take third place, with tanning addicts in London coming in at fifth.
Other cities and towns making the top ten include Birchwood in Warrington, Kings Lynn, Carlisle and Lowestoft.
“It’s always interesting to look at the regional differences when it comes to what our shoppers buy and they always throw up some interesting results,” Joanne Dodds from Hairtrade.com says.
“Women in Liverpool are well known for their love of looking great so it’s no surprise to see the city named as the fake tan capital.
“It’s great to see some of the smaller towns and cities making our top ten too, including Huddersfield and Southampton.
“With the chilly UK weather it’s no surprise shoppers want to looked bronzed – who doesn’t feel better and look amazing when they have some colour?”
