Salon in the Spotlight: Body Beautiful, Lincoln

Bright and bold, Lincoln salon, Body Beautiful, has settled into its new, larger premises. Offering a wide range of treatments, the team and its services are as colourful as the salon’s surroundings.
“We originally decorated the salon grey and silver but quickly decided that it wasn’t right for us,” explains owner, Lisa Graves. “We are a fun bunch and wanted to salon to match our personalities and us as a team. Bright colours were the only way to go.
“We’ve added ivy to the desks and other parts of salon along with some other tropical plants. The big flamingo in the window was an impulse buy but we all love her and she fits in with our bright tropical theme. I loved the idea of having a grass waiting area, it helps keep a summer feel in the salon all year round.”
Established in 2012 by Lisa, the business opened the doors of its first salon in July 2018. January this year saw Lisa seek out a larger space. The expansion was much needed with our multiple treatments offering, as well as running a training school,” explains Lisa. “We expanded from a single room salon with two members of staff to a two floored salon and school with six members of staff!”
The secret to this growth? The salon’s personality; “We set ourselves apart from other local salons with our fun and vibrant atmosphere,” Lisa smiles. “This can also been seen in the nails we produce – no two sets are the same.
“We offer nail treatments, as well as microblading, training, brow services, lashes and pedicures. We specialise in acrylic nails.“We also have a huge collection of nail products – over 600 polishes to choose from, over 300 coloured acrylics and a huge glitter wall. Our clients really are spoilt for choice.
“My go-to products are Team Gorgeous acrylics, Premier Gel polish and I get all my glitters from Glitter Stella.
“Thank to our colourful decoration, clients walking through our door can get an instant feel about who we are and what we’re like as a team. We still have some more finishing touches to do, more plants to add, new chairs to get and our new sign is yet to be put up, but the feedback from our clients on the new decor has been overwhelming. They love it as much as I do.”
