How to become a Crystal Nails UK educator

Timea Berridge, nail technician and now Crystal Nails UK educator for Nottingham, shares her experience of the brand’s educator course…
“Hi, my name is Timea and I have been working as a nail technician for a number of years. After seeing the opportunity to become a Crystal Nails UK educator, I decided to go on the educator training that the brand was offering in Chelmsford at the end of October to raise my game and seize the opportunity!
“I was very nervous but also very excited before I arrived because I didn’t know what to expect. The course was led by four Crystal Nails international master educators – Annamaria Farkas, Karina Perematko, Karolyna Tryc and Amanda Hawtree-Taft – each of which had outstanding knowledge of the brand and nail industry.
“I was in a group of 10 people on the course and, as nail technicians, we already had the knowledge of manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, etc. but we had to learn how to pass on this knowledge to others. We all struggled with this at first, however the patience of the team and the information we were taught was priceless.
“The course was three days long and very intensive. The educators were all very professional but also made the training fun: they made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Sometimes the amount of knowledge each international master educator had was overwhelming but this also made me feel really comfortable that we were in safe hands.
“On the first day we learned about manicure, nail prep and about Crystal Nails products. The second day was full of practical lessons and then we had to give our own lesson to the rest of the class, in the same way that we would teach a student. This, for me, was the most nerve-wracking element but in hindsight I thoroughly enjoyed it!
“The next step for me is to go to Budapest in January and prepare myself to become an international educator with Crystal Nails and I can’t wait!
“Crystal Nails to me means quality products and professionalism. The system and the way educators teach is second to none. If it was possible to do this course again then I would definitely do it and recommend it to everyone. I wish I started my nail career with them years ago!”
