Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting the new beauty hotspot, Young LDN, located in the idyllic Notting Hill area of London.

Describing itself as a ‘luxury skincare and beauty destination that champions youth’ and ‘inspiring the confidence to disrupt the world’, the space did not disappoint.

The unique studio has been created with Gen Z and millennials in mind and this is reflected throughout the interior. Bespoke, hand and spray painted art flows throughout the entirety of Young LDN, boasting a cool, edgy and urban vibe. This is further emphasised by the wireless Beats By Dre headphones and mini tablets fixed to the nail bar that allow clients to watch Netflix while enjoying their nail treatment.

Despite this, the salon welcomes every age bracket with open arms. With a mantra of ‘there is no definition of young’ and a comprehensive service menu designed with all ages in mind, the salon is ideal for anyone that is seeking a specific skincare treatment or a place to be pampered.

Young LDN offers a wide range of beauty and skincare treatments that are tailored to suit the needs of the individual. The contemporary space is divided into two areas dubbed the ‘lab’ and the ‘lounge’: the lab consists of private rooms reserved for services such as more intensive skin treatments while the lounge sees a mani and pedi area, a professional make-up counter and a peel bar.

I was lucky enough to be treated to the Deluxe Mani and a Hydrate peel facial. The manicure saw a cuticle tidy and CND Shellac application in my choice of the spring-ready Mint Convertible shade. After this, a bespoke scrub was applied with a few drops of CBD oil, before a treatment mask. During the time it took for the mask to work its magic, cupping therapy was performed on my arms to relax the muscles, encourage blood flow and relieve stiffness, anxiety and fatigue. Once the mask was removed with a hot towel, a CBD-infused lotion finished the indulgent manicure.

I then experienced my first ever facial peel over at the peel bar, which took only 20 minutes yet used a combination of fruit acids and other bits of goodness as well as the use of a cryoball that gave my skin an instant intense moisture boost while gently stimulating and renewing, and gave it some much needed TLC. My skin immediately felt amazing and was glowing like never before – even if I do say so myself!

Every member of the Young LDN team was bursting with knowledge – whether they specialise in nails or skincare – and their passion for beauty was undeniable. You are made to feel at ease as soon as you step in the door and this continues throughout the entire Young LDN experience, regardless of the treatment(s) you opt for.

Keep an eye out for the May issue of Scratch for a more detailed look at Young LDN and the story behind it.
