Hello Scratch readers!
This week was hectic to say the least! Usually it’s a very small beauty team at the studio, but this week we had more make-up artists and hair stylists for the dress rehearsals taking place that day. The poor runners were back and forth making sure everyone was where they were meant to be. They must be exhausted after such a long day!
With less contestants you’d think there’d be more time – but there isn’t. It isn’t a problem, as I tend to be quite speedy, but it does put the pressure on especially when you want to do a little extra nail art.
This week, a few looks stood out to me. For pro skater, Vanessa we usually go for something very dark and cool but this week she was pretty in pink! I used the IBD Builder Gel to provide additional strength and the Just Gel Polish in Juliet over the top, finishing with the Daily Charm in Fairy Dust. It was so beautiful and super sparkly!
I also loved Brandee’s look this week. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the time to complete the full design but after posting her look I had fellow nail tech’s using my design as inspiration, which is so flattering! I used Salon System Gellux Gel Polish in Silver Linings. The shade is a must-have in my kit – the camera loves it! I used my doting tool and additional shades matching Brandee’s outfit to create the dot design over two accent nails on each hand.
