Statement nails by Kristine Toce and her nail team rocked the Vin and Omi runway at London Fashion Week. All models wore matte colourful nail tones in a variety shade and shapes, complete with long woollen tassels.

Held at the Andaz London Liverpool Street Hotel, the design house showcased its AW18 collection. Models wore a collection seeing a variety of UK organic materials described as ‘eco-textiles’, including ‘leathers’ created from the skins of chestnuts, and synthetic wool made from plastic salvaged from ocean and river clean-up operations. The show’s message was “We Are Not Sheep”, linking to the designer’s work with new wool and but also makes a political statement, urging individual thinking.

A variety of celebrities walked the runway, including Absolutely Fabulous’, Jane Horrocks, as well as Made In Chelsea star, Julius Chowdrey, rapper, Tino Kamal, and Game of Thrones actress, Laura Pradelska.

Nail lead, Kristine Toce, worked with a team nine technicians backstage; Meghan Potts, Jasmin Samavati, Julie Bryan, Shiene Mann, Roxy Haynes, Lilah Mansour, Susanna Gray and Amy Sarah Morphey.

For the nail look, Kristine worked with Vin and Omi to create a nail look echo the show’s themes, message and collection. A variety of different nail shapes were used to represent individuality, along with huge range of different colours. The Nailberry shades used for the show include Serenity, Romance, Serendipity, Bubble Gum, A Smart Cookie, Candy Floss, Lush, Hope, Minty Fresh, Decadence, Pink Berry and Baby Blue. The look was completed with a matte topcoat.

To provide a literal reference to the collection’s woollen elements, Kristine devised a design featuring three long threads of wool. The female models wore thumbnails painted in Nailberry hue, Flocon, and completed with white wool. To create a contrast, male models wore black nails and matching wool.
