The Emmys are back! 2020 was a fully virtual affair due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and so this year the A-List pulled out all of the stops with their nail and beauty looks, and we weren’t left disappointed – read on for our favourite celebrity nail designs…

Emma Corrin gave Halloween vibes with her extra-long black stiletto nails, from celebrity nail artist Simone Cummings.  Showing that she’s not necessarily one to follow the trends (detailed and intricate nail art is trending), The Crown actress showcased that a simple block colour in a stand-out shape will always give the wow factor.

Taraji P Henson continued the Halloween feels with dramatic dark red stiletto nails with ruby coloured gems decorating select nails. She upped the ante with her index finger on her right hand and ring finger on her left hand, both showcasing huge diamond shaped gems, all created by nail tech Temeka Jackson.

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez showcased a stunning milky white manicure in a stiletto shape (noticing a trend here?) that perfectly offset her beautiful turquoise gown, paired with sparkling jewellery.

Celebrity nail artist Kim Truong painted Anya Taylor-Joy’s nails in beautiful shades of sunny yellow, shaped into an elegant almond shape. The design featured a nod to The Queen’s Gambit with tiny white chess pieces on her middle finger and pinky finger, offset by a darker yellow shade.

MAN-icurist Robbie Tomkins looked after Olivia Colman’s nails, applying a pop of orange with on-trend negative space, perfectly matching the actress’s flowing orange and navy gown; a winner’s look through and through –  Olivia took home ‘Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series’ for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.
