Universal Orlando has changed its employee appearance guidelines to become more inclusive, according to a memo sent to employees.

The new guidelines came into place yesterday, Sunday 26 September, and allow all team members to wear nail polish, make-up and have visible tattoos – as long as they are not deemed offensive, controversial, or on the face or neck.

Previously, only female employees were allowed to wear make-up and wear nail polish, unless a male employee was a specified performer.

Under the revision, Universal says that make-up worn by employees should give a natural and professional appearance. Nail polish followed a similar change, now allowing all team members regardless of gender to display a clear, neutral or subtle colour.
