Yesterday, I had the opportunity to join Bio Sculpture and some of its nail technicians for a unique workshop on how to attract and retain clients.

Claire Aggarwal, head of business development at Bio Sculpture, led the workshop and had plenty of tips to share, owing to her former role as founder of Perfect 10, a mobile beauty company that was featured in prominent consumer publications including Vogue, Tatler and Glamour.

With attendees sat in one large circle, Claire began by revealing the many ways in which a nail technician can gain new clients, including setting up a website and providing office workers with free manicures for one day only. As attendees sat and made notes, Claire went on to discuss the methods that can be used to retain clients, a challenge that is faced by many of today’s nail technicians.

Attendees were then invited to ask any questions that they might have had, leading to a laid-back, open discussion with input being given by other Bio Sculpture staff members including director Richard Lipsitz, operations director Punam Sharma and educator Vivienne Allday.

Rather than holding this particular course in the near future, the brand has instead scheduled four open days where business development will be discussed alongside nail hints and tips. The dates are as follows:

Reading – Tuesday 16th May, 10:00 – 15:00
Swansea – Tuesday 23rd May, 9:30 – 14:00
Kent – Tuesday 4th July, 10:00 – 14:30
Bristol – Tuesday 11th July, 9:30 – 14:00
