This celebration marks the start of the lunar new year, starting on the new moon that falls between January 21st and February 20th. This year, the 15-day festival begins of February 17th, with traditions such as firework displays, parades and feasts marking the occasion.

Additionally, each year is represented by one of the 12 Zodiac animals, with 2026 ushering in the Year of the Horse – or more specifically, the Fire Horse. Said to represent vitality, energy and strength, the Fire Horse is said to encourage personal growth and adventure.
