LGBTQ+ Awareness Month

On its dedicated website, LGBT+ History Month designates February as a time ‘to celebrate [the] rich and diverse history, herstory and theirstory’ of the LGBTQ+ community. Each year, the campaign adopts a specific theme and highlights five historical figures of particular significance. Throughout the month, it shares daily posts on its Instagram profile, showcasing queer histories from around the world, with the aim of raising awareness of the long struggle for LGBTQ+ rights and the individuals who helped pioneer this fight.
