Offering ‘high quality gel polishes at a low price point’, The Gel Box monthly subscription box has launched.
Founded by mobile tech turned salon owner, Virginie Nnomo, each monthly box contains different goodies to suit current nail trends, handpicked by a tech at Virginie’s salon, Brit’pop Academy.
Every month features the following:
- Four 20ml Brit’pop Nails gel polishes
- A nail art tutorial
- Mystery must-haves
“I wanted to provide other nail technicians, whether beginner or advanced, with on-trend products so they don’t have to find time within their busy schedules to search for them, as I know from experience that this can be difficult.
“I love that I get to choose what products and shades go into the Gel Box,” Virginie notes. “Having my own salon helps me understand what people like, and I have an awareness of the quality that is expected in products within this industry.”
“It has been such an exciting experience to see nail technicians from up and down the country getting stuck into the idea of Gel Box.”
With the design of the packaging taking inspiration from the theme of the contents of the box, Virginie prides herself on keeping consistency throughout the month, which she also carries through to her website and social media. “The box we released in July uses the product colours for the packaging and overall design. This is something we feel as a brand is important,” Virginie states.
The Gel Box team prides itself on collaborative efforts, discussing and anticipating nail trends and products, relevant to each month. “The dynamic of our team is amazing and each member works extremely hard to put forward their expertise, working together as a team and providing the best possible service we can to our customers,” Virginie comments.
“Gel Box‘s ethos is to stand out within the nail industry,” Virginie explains. “I want to provide a service to nail technicians where they feel welcomed and part of a wider community, encouraging positivity and support towards growing and established nail artists.”
“We aim to provide a way for technicians to channel their creativity, keep up-to-date with the latest nail art trends using our products, and open minds to other product offerings.”
“We work hard to customise our product experience to our customers needs. We closely follow our customers work on social media, and keep in contact with our following regularly to establish what they would like to see within our boxes,” Virginie smiles.
But what about the future? Virginie divulges her plans moving forward, which includes showcasing the brand at Olympia Beauty in October. “We are extremely excited to meet more professionals within the industry, and see what they’ve been working on this year,” she says. “It’s an exciting networking opportunity for us too, where we can introduce possible collaboration opportunities with different brands.
“We’re really looking forward to getting the brand out there and for our team to meet new people. It’s a great experience to learn new things about the industry from other professionals.”
“We cant wait to collaborate with more influencers and brands over the next few months, and integrate new names into our boxes. In doing so, we aim to help subscribers to have access to best products on the market, while simultaneously keeping our box about creativity, fun and professionalism within the industry,” Virginie concludes.
