Lights Lacquer – the nail colour and care brand founded by beauty influencer & YouTuber, Kathleen Lights – has unveiled the Core Collection.

As trend cycles shift towards capsule classics and long-term staples, the collection echoes this with a line-up that offers ‘intentional colour, versatility and longevity’.

Lights Lacquer was founded in November 2019 by Kathleen Lights, and products are designed by a women-led team of creatives based in Miami, Florida. Kathleen is a YouTube sensation, with her make-up channel boasting over four million subscribers.

Her Cuban background inspires many of the brand’s releases, alongside her passion for nostalgia, make-up and current trends – as can be seen with the names of Lights Lacquer polishes.

The Core Collection is comprised of 12 ‘seasonless shades’: five brand-new launches and seven fan favourites. New colours range from creamy yellow hue – Is Butter A Carb?, to baby blue shade – Daisy Dukes, and a purple polish inspired by Monica Geller’s apartment in Friends – Apartment Purple.

Returning brand bestsellers include rich burgundy – Cherry Wine, sheer milky white – Counting Sheep, and princess pink – Clueless.

A spokesperson for the brand comments: “Lights Lacquer is an ethical, performance-focused company that embodies pillars of artistry, nostalgia, heritage and unique colour curation. It draws inspiration from Kathleen’s Cuban culture and eclectic Miami roots.

“Kathleen curates each shade, drawing inspiration from her vast knowledge of make-up and colour theory, the world around her, nostalgic references and colour stories she shares with her loyal followers, artists and polish fanatics.”
