When beauty professionals come to me struggling with content, visibility or lack of bookings, it nearly always boils down to one thing: confidence.

Confidence is the foundation for organic growth. It’s what allows you to show up when no one’s booking in (yet). It’s what gets you seen, remembered and trusted – even before a potential client books in with you.

Confidence = visibility = bookings.

When you feel good about your work, your energy online changes. You stop second-guessing every caption. You stop hiding behind your content. You start showing your face, talking about what lights you up and giving people a reason to stop scrolling.

If you post something that receives a lot of interest, think about how good that makes you feel: as confident as anything. The next day, you get giddy to post – yet it goes down like a sack of potatoes and makes you feel so low. But you need to stop letting the second situation get to you! Think that every post is the same as those that make you feel confident.

You don’t need to be the most advanced tech in your area to build a loyal clientele. You need to be the one who shows up with passion and purpose consistently. That’s what creates trust. And trust is what makes people say, ‘I want to book with them‘.

Here’s what I often see from the wonderful techs that I work closely with:

People are watching. Even if they’re not liking, commenting or booking (yet). Confidence is about showing up anyway and doing the same tomorrow and the next day and so on.

Here are three ways to build confidence (and clients) right now:

1. Use your voice

Look at how you speak to yourself, and rewrite it. Turn ‘I’m not good enough‘ into ‘I’m always improving and someone out there needs exactly what I offer‘.

2. Post with purpose

You don’t need to be a content guru. You just need to show your work, your why and your life. Share your face. Talk about what makes you different. Tell stories from your workspace, as your next client could be watching.

3. Stop waiting to feel ready

Confidence doesn’t come first – take action first. You build confidence by doing the thing, not waiting for the nerves to go away and for it all to be perfect.

Your dream client isn’t looking for perfect. They’re looking for someone who cares. Stay in your own lane and do what makes you happy. You’ve got this!
