In recognition and celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (15 Sept-15 Oct 2022), Scratch puts the spotlight on Cuban-American entrepreneur and influencer, Kathleen Fuentes (aka KathleenLights).

Founder of Lights Lacquer, a cruelty-free nail lacquer line, started in November 2019, Kathleen honours Hispanic Heritage Month with the otra noche en Miami collection, which presents three new lacquer shades, ‘Cubana’, ‘Meet me at Space’ and ‘Spanglish’, alongside tattoo-inspired nail stickers, inspired by the neighbourhoods and iconic spots that encompass Miami.

Designed by a women-led team of creatives based in Miami Florida, Lights Lacquer is an ethical, performance-focused brand, that embodies its pillars of artistry, nostalgia, heritage, and unique colour curation. Each shade is carefully curated by Kathleen, who draws inspiration from her vast knowledge of make-up and colour theory, the world around her, nostalgic references and colour stories.

Kathleen is also the founder of Lights the Label, an accessory and apparel line that draws inspiration from her Cuban culture and eclectic Miami roots. Presenting a fun and unique variety of accessories, home and lifestyle items, Kathleen’s strong influence goes beyond her YouTube channel and extends to Instagram, where she has 2.1 million followers. Kathleen has a combined reach of over 7.5M collectively, throughout her owned channels, which include Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.
