Pinterest Predicts 2026 – how 10 top trends will shape nail art

Social media platform, Pinterest, has unveiled its 2026 trend predictions via annual report, Pinterest Predicts.

Here are the top 10 trends for nail lovers to note…

1. Gimme Gummy

With jelly-esque make-up products seeing a rise in popularity during 2025, Pinterest reveals a 100% increase in searches for ‘jelly candy aesthetic’. The platform expects ‘rubberised nail art and 3D jewellery to become your new tactile obsession’.

2. FunHaus

2026 will see society take a trip to the circus! From big top-inspired clothing to clown claws, Pinterest has hailed the ‘FunHaus’ aesthetic as an incoming trend topper. It states that ‘bold stripes, sculptural silhouettes and just a wink of clownish charm’ will dominate décor, combining statement shapes with paired-back palettes for a look that is ‘elevated, with a touch of camp’.

3. Cabbage Crush

While this prediction doesn’t sound the most appealing, it actually works surprisingly well for nail designs. Pinterest cites ‘live, laugh, leaf’ as the motto for 2026, and we think this can be translated onto talons. 4. Neo Deco

While the Art Deco style is known for its sleek lines, bold symmetry and geometric patterns, Pinterest predicts a rise in its shiny sister, Neo Deco. The platform acknowledges: “After years of heavy minimalism, Gen X and millennials are bringing this retro aesthetic back with crisp chevrons, fan arches and other geometric hits, all edged in chrome or brass.”

“This year, beauty is missing the mark – on purpose,” notes Pinterest Predicts. Mismatched manis will dominate digits, as the social media platform reports a 125% rise in searches for ‘nails with different colours on each hand’.

6. Laced Up

Doily digits are set to make an impact on the 2026 trend cycle. Pinterest explains that the rise is thanks to Gen Z and millennials ‘gently reminding us that more is more: especially when it’s this pretty’. The increase in the fabric’s popularity was showcased on fingertips during London Fashion Week SS26, with brands such as Pauline Dujancourt showcasing white and black lace on models’ nails (see below).

7. Vamp Romantic

The gothic aesthetic is rising from the dead, with searches for ‘vampire beauty’ up by 90%. Pinterest suggests 2026 styles will ‘go all in on an after-dark aesthetic, embracing jet black nails […] with a touch of glossy glamour’.

These will feature chrome accents, opalescent hues and intergalactic swirls, giving every manicure an ethereal, otherworldly edge.
