Scratch shines a spotlight on Moyra, a family-run nail brand focused on quality products, top-notch education and excellent customer service…
For over two decades, Csaba and Reka Frile of Hungary have been sharing their professional nail products across the globe, supporting nail stylists in the creation of slick, colourful services.
The product portfolio boasts 300+ gel polish and 200+ acrylic powder shades, a builder gel in a bottle range, hard gel, acrylgel, a full cover tips system, nail art tools and accessories. The jewel in the brand’s crown is its stamping system, which presents over 200 plates, stamping polishes, gels and foil polishes.
Available in 40 countries worldwide, Csaba and Reka handed over UK distribution reins to multi-award winning nail tech, nail artist and educator, Cheryl Ogden, in 2016. Cheryl has 30 years’ experience in the nail sector and first discovered Moyra in 2013.

As the brand’s portfolio and popularity grew, Cheryl recruited nail stylist, Vonny Tuckley of home salon, Nailcraft by Vonny, Loughborough, to support as business partner. “Cheryl and I have been friends for a number of years,” shares Vonny. “I discovered Moyra at a trade show in 2017 and fell in love with its stamping system and nail art products. I’ve used the brand in my nail services and classes ever since, and became a Moyra UK brand ambassador in February 2022.
“My passion for the brand, and the nail industry, matched Cheryl’s and when she asked me to be her business partner, i jumped at the chance!”

The duo shares distribution, marketing and media equally, following the Moyra ethos: to provide safe, EU compliant, high quality, affordable products to nail professionals.
“Education is important to Moyra UK,” Vonny continues. “Cheryl’s teaching skills span two decades, and along with my passion for research and teaching, we make a great team. Moyra UK has a extensive range of accredited courses, with online material to come.”
The brand’s best-selling products are its stamping plates and products, followed by Flexi Builder Bases and Acrylgel. “I love art and painting,” shares Cheryl, “so the Stamping & Painting Gels are firm favourites in my nail kit. Vonny, however, loves using the Fusion Acrylgel system with Flexi or hard gel.”
The duo is excited about the future of Moyra UK and has plans for roadshows and events, to bring the brand to the next generation of nail professionals.
