Salon in the Spotlight: Beauty By Chelsea, Newhall Swadlincote, Derbyshire

After training in 2009 and qualifying in 2012 at Burton Collage, Chelsea Tipper went on to train with CND™ Shellac before opening her own salon in 2020.
“My little building has been various things in the past but everyone always talks about the time it was a chip shop and how it was the best fish and chips in the village,” Chelsea shares.
Having been open since 2023, Chelsea rebranded her logo and redecorated the space by adding gold and black accessories to the neutral wall. The salon also features a centrepiece which is a framed photo photo of Disney princess nails that were painted by her goddaughter.
“When decorating I really wanted to create a warm, calm, welcoming safe place for my clients.”
As part of running the salon on her own, Chelsea loves the freedom she has to change things to suit her clients best and to use the products she feels are optimal. “Ever since I came out of college I have used CND™ Shellac, my clients love the colours, no damage to your nails and longevity. My most popular treatments are CND™ Shellac on natural nails and CND Plexigel with lists of nail art!”
A fun feature of her salon is Chelsea’s mystery manicure machine for those who do not know what design they fancy.
