Down at the bottom of Charlotte Pilgrim’s garden you’ll find a little hideaway – full of nail magic.

“This is my first venture out on my own,” Charlotte reveals. “I’ve worked in salons previously, but most recently, I was renting a room within a hair salon. From that I’ve built a large client base which has allowed me to go it alone!”

Having had the cabin built from scratch, Charlotte was able to create the nail haven she’d been dreaming of. “I feel my salon is unique,” she beams. “It’s not just a log cabin, it’s like a proper little salon in my garden. It also has plenty of windows so it’s really light and airy, which a lot of my clients have commented on.

“I decided to have the salon decorated all in white with a grey floor. I felt white would keep the salon really light and bright and help make the space seem bigger. I have grey accents with my towels and kettle, and also touches of glass with a shelving unit. For my furniture I’ve gone with a white french shabby chic style with white leather and diamanté detailing. All my clients comment on the decor and how they like the minimalistic style I’ve gone for.”

“My passion is nails, so this is the main treatment that I specialise in and the one that takes up most of my time. I use CJP Nail Systems as my acrylic system, The Gel Bottle Inc for gel polish range and for my waxing treatments I use products from Salon System.

“One day I’d like to add to the salon and employ other technicians. I am also planning on doing my teaching qualification, holding both classes and 1-2-1 sessions in my salon.”
