Beginning her nail journey in 2013, Laura Lima has a variety of experience in the beauty industry. “I have always dreamed of having my own salon one day, and in 2020, I decided to experience the self-employed side of things and was never happier!”
“I started to slowly climb my way up to where I am now,” she recalls. “It’s been an incredible journey so far.
It’s not always been easy, but it was definitely worth it.”
“I have big plans for the future,” Laura shares. “My end goal is to have a successful training academy as well as a salon.
“I can pass on my knowledge to the future professionals and provide the best service for clients at the same time.”
“At the moment it’s only me in the salon,” she smiles. “I do have some surprises coming up soon!
“Salons are usually very busy, clients are sitting inches away from each other and usually you can hear everything everyone says and they can hear you.”

“I offer waxing, medical pedicures, all things gel, which I specialise in, brow lamination, lash lifts, brow and lash tint and Reiki.
“I am proud to say my products are vegan and cruelty free,” she enthuses. “I use Glossify products for nails, Outback organics for waxing, Elim for the medical pedicure, Navy tools, BlissBeauty’s amazing cuticle oils, Beautiful brows and lashes and brow code.”
“I wanted to go for something that was easy on the eye, and very pleasant to look at,” Laura explains. “The colours make the room look bright and cozy as well as welcoming.
“I choose to go for a boho blush style with light wood and wicker adding a few bits of blush pink and textures like velvet.”
“I want people to feel welcome and have a great experience with my services as well as the salon.
