Sherrie's Nails

Sherrie Farris recently decided to fly the nest and spread her wings. Having moved her nail business from her parent’s house to a new premises, the CND™ technician is reaping the rewards.

“It took a long time to find my own premises,” Sherrie reveals. “I needed somewhere suitable and within budget. At the beginning of April 2017, everything came to fruition and I moved! Although a big decision, so far it has been nothing but a success with regular clients, repeat recommendations and interest from new customers. I’ve not looked back.”

Solely specialising in nail treatments, Sherrie claims her salon is unique in its location. “My specialist salon is in a private location; we rarely get interrupted while carrying out treatments and it creates a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Some clients have described it as a ‘hidden gem’.

“I offer services for the natural nail, including CND SHELLAC™ and VINYLUX™. I only use genuine CND™ products – from start to finish. I also have a wide range of Lecenté products too.

“I’m soon to introduce luxury spa pedicures to my treatment menu now I have the extra space. My most popular treatment is CND SHELLAC™ and my specialty is hand painted nail art, as well as offering colour layering, foils and all complemented by an extensive range of glitters. The only limitation is your imagination.”

In terms décor, Sherrie chose a muted palette of shades to create a homely atmosphere. I am slightly limited in wall colours as the room is rented but have overcome this by accessorising. I’ve chosen a modern design for my nail desk and most importantly comfy chairs for both myself and client. A sofa allows clients to visit with friends and great when facilitating wedding parties. A hand painted ‘shabby chic’ style dresser perfectly displays retail items and simple cushions in Cath Kidson-style complement the whole look.”
