Hazel McLachlan, of Sanctuary In The City salon, reveals that pretty pink designs are popular with her clients recently.

“I think pink is such a popular go-to colour at the moment as clients are moving away from winter colours and want something a little more suited to the spring/summer seasons.

“This design has been created using Gelica Gel in Raspberry Ripple and Girly Girl. To create the blended ombré look on the middle and ring fingers I placed half and half of each colour and blended with a flat Gelica Gel brush, starting slowly from the centre where both colours meet and gradually moving from side to side to get a nice even blend. Once I was happy with it, I cured and repeated this process again for a second layer. The remaining fingers were simply painted in Raspberry Ripple. The full set was then finished with Gelica Gel High Gloss Top Coat.

“I love this nail design because it’s fresh and a little different – it’s eye catching but subtle at the same time. This design had so many compliments! The colours seem to be a favourite with my clients as they all want that little something to give their set ‘a little more but not too much’.”
