Lisa Johnson, owner of Ultimate Goddess in Doncaster has found her clients have been asking for grey tones to complement and contrast.

“I think grey has become a classic colour for nails,” Lisa enthuses. “It is neutral and therefore compliments any occasion. It’s easily customised to offer different tones and contrasts beautifully with other colours as part of a design or backdrop for accent colours.

“This has made it a popular choice with my clients. As grey can be quite a cool colour I find my younger clients tend to favour it more.

“The grey in this design is a custom mix of NSI Black with NSI Radiant White mixed together to create the shade,” Lisa explains. “This is then applied to three fingers on each hand to create a solid colour.

“For the feature finger I applied NSI Rose Blush and the middle fingers had a thin coat of the grey to create a base to which I applied Glitter Express Charcoal glitter. All fingers were then capped with NSI Sheer Pink. After filing and shaping I applied two coats of Halo Cerise Gel Polish and finished with Halo Non Wipe Top Shine Gel and cuticle oil to complete.

“The contrast between the grey and the cerise is so vibrant and the glitter adds texture and sparkle without overpowering the finished look.”
