Are you a beauty pro, struggling to fill gaps in your diary and get noticed by new clients? Or are you a client who seeks to book an appointment with ease? Download Beautyverse – an app designed to simplify the communication and booking process between beauty artists and clients.
The app, which launched on 4 September 2023, is free to use for both parties and presents nail, hair, barbering, brow, lash, make-up, massage and aesthetic categories for pros to advertise and clients to book.
To list services and appointment times, hair and beauty pros simply download the app, register with their fields of expertise and provide the business address, or select mobile services and the areas covered. Following registration, pros list their availability via the calendar, which can be imported from an existing smartphone calendar, and select the services they offer. In addition, the app allows for photos to be added so clients can explore styles and offerings before booking.
“The listings and bookings calendar reduces the need for multiple apps and simplifies the experience for both artists and clients,” shares Natalie Lomakina, who conceived the idea for the app in summer 2022. The product designer is also a beauty enthusiast, and has a passion for creating user-centred products.

“A month before my move to the UK in June 2022, I searched for a nail artist in London,” she shares. “Beauty is an integral part of my life and I have been having my nails done twice a month for a decade, with various techniques and design finishes, and I sought an independent nail artist who I could visit regularly.
“I began my search on Instagram and exhausted the options, finding either salons or pros who didn’t respond to booking requests, until I stumbled on the profile of Andreea Simona Ignat, an award-winning pro. The challenges of the search process reignited my idea to create a service that presented independent beauty artists, with their availability and work listed alongside reliable reviews.”

Development for the app began in May, and Natalie was joined by Andreea, who consults on the needs of both beauty artists and clients, and co-founder Valery Ponomarenko, a mobile app developer with over 10 years’ expertise.

“Beautyverse makes it easy for clients to book an appointment, whether they prioritise price, working style or location,” Natalie continues. ‘Beauty artists have their own preferences for work; some are looking for new clients, while for others, full automation is a priority. The app’s calendar can be used just like a regular digital/paper calendar, with the added bonus that each time, the pro has the opportunity to expand their client base.
“What’s more, the app includes a client rating system so that feedback can be left for fellow pros on the app.”
The path for clients to use the app is simple: they download the app and register, before browsing the list of pros and their availability and making the booking.
