Dominika Satro Easter Nails Final

Seasonal & Occasions, Step by Step

Pluck pastel hues from your kit bag and recreate this cute 3D Easter nail design courtesy of Dominika Satro, Indigo Nails UK educator.

Step 1
Cleanse the nails using Indigo Cleaner and apply either Acid Free Primer or Acid Primer, depending on the nail type. Apply a thin layer of Indigo’s Perfect Base and cure for 60 seconds in the Multi LED Indigo Lamp.
Step 2
Use Easy Shape Gel in Light Rose with nail forms to extend the nail in an almond shape. Cure for 60 seconds in the Multi LED Indigo Lamp and remove the form. Use Cover Pink Gel to sculpt the nail, before curing for 30-60 seconds.
Step 3
Remove the dispersion layer using Indigo’s Wipe Off Cleaner and refine the shape of the enhancement using a 180-grit file or Diamond 2 drill bit and Easy File Oil. Cleanse the nail and apply a thin layer of Indigo’s Mineral Base in Porcelain. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Start to create the ombré effect by applying a small amount of Mineral Base in Porcelain close to the cuticle area. Next, apply a strip of Sugar Effect Gel mid-way down the nail, before a pastel gel polish shade at each nail tip. I used the yellow Optymista and pink Nie Wiem gel polish shades for this design. Use an ombré sponge to blend the shades, starting in the middle of the nail before moving to the tip and then towards the cuticle. Use X-type tweezers to hold the sponge to prevent product flooding the cuticles or touching the skin. Do not cure. Sprinkle Fashion Clear Acrylic Powder onto the inhibition layer and then cure for 30 seconds.
Step 5
Use the Indigo Ice Cream Brush to remove the excess powder from the nails. Apply a second layer of the colours and blend again – but do not apply the acrylic powder. After curing, apply Indigo’s Super Matte Top Coat. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 6
Use Indigo Nails White Rose Art Gum to create the shape of a chick in a broken egg. On the ring finger nails, create bunny ears using Blue Chill Art Gum. Cure the designs for 60 seconds.
Step 7
Add detail to the nails using your chosen gel polish shades. I used the yellow Giorgio Banani, pink Nie Wiem, lilac Laizy Daisy, peachy Kissmeralda, Mr. Black and Mr. White. Cure, then apply Super Matte Top Coat to finish and cure.
