Abstract blue nails
Colour focus, Step by Step
Salon System nail expert & owner of The Nail Fairy, Caroline Roberts, has created a step-by-step for this quick and cute blue abstract nail style.
The design uses Gellux products, available from wholesalers nationwide.
Step 1
Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nail bed with a grey and yellow buffer. Dust and wipe the nails with GELLUX Prep and Wipe and apply two thin layers of GELLUX Builder Gel in Rose Pink, curing each layer. Lightly buff the nails for a matte look, then use a nail brush to remove any dust.
Step 2
Apply two coats of GELLUX Gel Polish in Seas The Day to each finger, leaving out the ring ringer. Cure.
Step 3
Using a thin liner art brush, apply brush strokes of GELLUX Gel Polish in Purely White, Seas The Day, Sea You Later and Silver Crystal on the ring finger to create that simple abstract paint effect. Cure.
Step 4
For a glossy finish, apply the GELLUX Shiny Top Coat and cure. Wipe the sticky residue with GELLUX Prep + Wipe before applying cuticle oil to finish.
