Abstract cow print nails
Animal print, Step by Step
Salon System nail expert, Karen Louise, has created an abstract cow print nail design using the GELLUX Ready to Rock collection.
Step 1
Prepare the nails, file to shape, push back cuticle and gently buff the nail plate. Brush away any dust and wipe over with the GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Apply the GELLUX Fast Bond and let it dry. Apply GELLUX Builder Gel in Light Natural, making sure to cap the edges and cure.
Step 2
Using a thin liner brush, apply GELLUX Rocker-Bye-Baby to the outer side of the nail with a swirly detail down the centre of the nail. Repeat this process, being sure to cure in between coats.
Step 3
Now, using your detailing brush or a dotting tool, create your cow print design on the top of the half you just painted using GELLUX Keep It Real. Apply these randomly and do not make the shapes even in size and style. Cure for 60 seconds. Apply GELLUX Matte Base & Top Coat to the nails and cure. Wipe with GELLUX Prep + Wipe then allow to dry before continuing.
Step 4
Using GELLUX Wow Factor and a thin liner brush, outline your design and the rest of your nail with negative space, then cure.
Step 5
Finally, cover the negative space and the outline using a detail brush finish with GELLUX Shiny Top Coat, so you have a half matte and gloss finish. Cure for 60 seconds. Wipe the nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and apply GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil to finish the look.
