Seasonal & Occasions, Spring/Summer, Step by Step

Salon System nail expert & owner of The Nail Fairy, Caroline Roberts, has created this on-trend mix and match French design, ready for Easter.

Step 1
Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nails, then dust and wipe with GELLUX Prep + Wipe before applying a thin layer of GELLUX Fast Bond. Apply two thin layers of GELLUX Builder Gel in Rose Pink, curing each layer for 60 seconds. Lightly buff the nails for a matte look, then use a nail brush to remove any dust.
Step 2
Using a thin liner art brush, apply GELLUX Builder Gel in Cool White to the ring finger, creating a pair of bunny ears. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 3
Using a thin art brush to create a French tip, apply GELLUX Mini Gel Polish in Stormy to the pinkie, GELLUX Mini in Lucky Shamrock to the middle finger, and GELLUX Mini in Tease Me Teal to the thumb. Apply a small amount of GELLUX Mini in Once And Floral into the middle of the bunny ears. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 4
Apply GELLUX Mini in Lemon Meringue to the index finger, using a thin liner art brush to create a semicircle. Drag some of the colour at the top to create tufts of hair. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 5
Create a speckled look on the French tips by dipping the end of a cocktail stick into GELLUX Gel Polish in Black Onyx. Using Black Onyx with a dotting tool, apply two dots to the index finger, creating eyes for the chick. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 6
Using a dotting tool, apply GELLUX Mini in Lemon Meringue, Lucky Shamrock, Stormy and Pumpkin Patch to create little flowers. Next, apply GELLUX Builder Gel in Cool White to the middle of the flowers around the bunny ears. Create a beak for the chick on the index finger using Pumpkin Patch with a thin liner art brush. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 7
For a glossy finish, apply GELLUX Shiny Top Coat and cure for 60 seconds, before wiping the sticky residue with GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Apply cuticle oil to finish.
