Pure Nails head of education, Tina Bell, has created this firework nail design for Bonfire Night. Recreate it using the five steps below…
Step 1
Prep the nail and apply Halo Gel Polish Base Coat and cure. Apply Halo Gel Polish Black, cure for 30 seconds and repeat with a second coat. Apply one coat of Halo Gel Polish Sparkle Topcoat and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Using a variety of Halo Create Chrome powders, mix each colour on a mixing palette with a small amount of Halo Gel Polish Base Coat, this will make a beautiful Chrome Paint.
Step 3
Using a striping brush, create lines with the different coloured chrome paints, placing them on the nail where you wish the firework design to be, starting with the colours. Flash cure in between colours to avoid them mixing.
Step 4
Finish with the gold and silver chrome coloured paints to accent the design. Once you are happy with the design cure for 30 seconds.
Step 5
Use a dotting tool and Halo Gel Polish French White to add the small stars and dots, this helps create depth and dimension to the nail art. Cure for 30 seconds. Finish with Halo Gel Polish Non Wipe Topcoat and cure for 30 seconds.
