Flower Power

Katia Nsi Flower Final Copy 1

Step by Step

Let your nail skills blossom with this daisy-inspired extreme nail design inspired by Katia Da Silva, global educator for NSI

Step 1
Draw the outline of a daisy on the back of a nail form to create the overall shape of the nail.
Step 2
Fold the form in half and cut around the shape of the flower.
Step 3
Place this piece over a second form and customise accordingly.
Step 4
Fit the form to the nail.
Step 5
Using clear acrylic mixed with glitter, apply a base layer following the daisy shape.
Step 6
Create an ombré using NSI Secrets Masquerade Acrylic Powder in Disguise over some of the base layer and encapsulate the front of the nail with Clear Acrylic Powder and NSI Attraction Nail Liquid monomer.
Step 7
File and buff to refine the enhancement and smooth out the shape of the petals. Apply top coat to the nail once complete and cure.
Step 8
Starting with the centre of the nail, create a large, 3D petal shape using NSI Simplicité powder in Little White Lies and NSI Secrets Primerless Nail Liquid. Allow the petal to fall slightly to the side to create natural-looking movement in your design.
Step 9
Create the next petal, leaving a small margin between the shapes to allow the glittery base to shine through.
Step 10
Continue to add more petals to the nail. Once one side is complete, move onto the other side.
Step 11
Add detail to the centre of the flower with your chosen NSI Secrets Design Gel. I used a custom mix of Glamorous Gold and Sparkling Silver.
Step 12
Embellish the centre with a cluster of gems to add extra sparkle.
