French tips with swirls
Spring/Summer, Step by Step
Lecenté educator, Claire Howard of Claire Howard Nail Design, gives the classic French a modern twist, adding colourful swirls and a touch of striking silver.
Step 1
Apply a base colour and cure. Claire has used Lecenté Create in Belissima.
Step 2
Apply the French tip and cure. Claire has used Lecenté Create in Clouds, applied with the Lecenté Striping Brush (S1).
Step 3
Apply matte top coat and cure. Taking your first colour and a striper brush, draw the first swirl and cure.
Step 4
With your second colour, add the second swirl, tucking it into the curve of the first to give the appearance of it being underneath and cure. Claire has used Lecenté Create in Blue Skies.
Step 6
Repeat step 4 with your third and fourth colours, curing between each shade.
Step 6
Apply matte top coat and cure, before applying a swirl using a foil gel and curing. Take a bright silver foil and dab it into the cured foil gel layer, creating a shiny silver swirl.
Step 7
Topcoat and cure to finish the look.
