Salon System nail expert, Julie-Anne Larivière, has created a girl power nail step-by-step using GELLUX, available via wholesalers nationwide, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Step 1
File the nails to shape, push the cuticles back with the GELLUX Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and gently buff the surface of the nails with a white block. Thoroughly wipe nails with GELLUX Nail + File Cleansing Spray and a lint free pad. When the nails are dry, apply GELLUX Fast Bond and let it dry for 30 seconds. Then, apply GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Start by applying two layers of the following GELLUX Gel Polish shades from index to pinky: Choco-Latte, Naturally Bronzed, Bare Necessities and Porcelain Doll. Cure for 30 seconds in between layers.
Step 3
Using a thin nail art brush, create a fist shape on each nail using opposite colours and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 4
With a very fine liner brush dipped in GELLUX Gel Polish in Black Onyx, paint the details on the hands and cure for 60 seconds.
Step 5
Using the same fine liner, apply small dots of the colour of your choice to the tip of each finger. I used GELLUX Gel Polish in Pink Punch. Cure for 30 seconds.
Step 6
Using a medium liner/striper brush dipped in GELLUX Gel Polish in Purely White, paint the letters 'Gi' on the index, 'rl' on the middle finger, 'Pow' on the ring finger and 'er' on the pinky using a calligraphy style of writing. Cure for 60 seconds. Finally, apply GELLUX Mirror Glaze Top Coat and cure. Wipe nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and apply GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil to finish.
