Holographic star nails
Step by Step
Salon System brand ambassador, Jaz Moger, has us seeing stars with this holographic step-by-step using GELLUX.
Step 1
Start by prepping the nails. File the nails to a round shape. Push back the cuticle using the Salon System Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and remove the cuticle using Gellux Erase Cuticle Remover and cuticle clippers. Buff the nail plate and cleanse nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Apply Gellux Fast Bond followed by one coat of Gellux Cover Pink Base Coat and cure for 60 seconds.
Step 2
Using a pick-up tool, pick-up some holographic stars and drop them onto the nails one by one, cure again for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Next, apply two thick coats of Gellux LED Hard Gel Clear Builder, curing for 60 seconds between each coat. You need to use a builder gel to encapsulate the stars, so that the nails still feel and look super smooth.
Step 4
To finish the look, apply a coat of Gellux Super Shiny Topcoat, cure and then wipe over with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Finally, finish by applying Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil.
