Spring/Summer, Step by Step

Salon System GELLUX expert, Julie-Anne Larivière, has created an alternative French manicure step-by-step using GELLUX, serving up a fun twist on the beloved classic.

Step 1
File the nails to shape, push the cuticles back with the GELLUX Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and gently buff the surface of the nails with a white block. Thoroughly wipe nails with GELLUX Nail + File Cleansing Spray and a lint-free pad. When the nails are dry, apply GELLUX Fast Bond and let dry for 30 seconds. Then apply one very thin layer of the GELLUX Builder Gel in Light Pink. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step 2
With a fine liner brush dipped in GELLUX Dare to Wear, paint a fine line in the centre of each nail tip. This will be your guide to create the half and half tips. Do not cure.
Step 3
Now, using the same fine liner and GELLUX Dare to Wear. Paint a fine line alternating from one side to the other leaving a gap in between, cure for 60 seconds.
Step 4
Fill in the remaining gaps using GELLUX Wild Style, cure again for 60 seconds.
Step 5
Finally, apply GELLUX Mirror Glaze Top Coat and cure again for 60-90 seconds. Wipe nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil to finish your fancy French nails.
