Pastel tie dye nails

Tie Dye Step 4

Step by Step

Salon System nail expert, Rosanna Hatherell, reveals how to create this delicate tie dye design using GELLUX gel polish shades, available via wholesalers nationwide.

Step 1
Start by prepping the nails by filing nails to a round shape. Push back the cuticle using the Salon System Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and remove the cuticle using the GELLUX Erase Cuticle Remover and cuticle clippers. Buff the nail plate and cleanse nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Apply GELLUX Fast Bond, followed by one coat of GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Apply 3 coats of GELLUX Purely White remembering to cure for 30 seconds in between each coat.
Step 3
Next, apply a thin coat of GELLUX Easy Off Base Coat and do not cure. Using a medium flat round top brush using GELLUX Lucky Dip and GELLUX Double Dating, dip your brush into both colours and dab the colours onto the nail into a round tie dye shape. Having a layer of GELLUX Easy Off Base Coat down first will allow the colours to disperse slightly creating the tie dye effect. Cure for 30 seconds. Do the same for all the other nails, changing the pattern on each nail, curing for 30 seconds.
Step 4
To complete the look, apply a coat of GELLUX Super Shiny Topcoat. Cure and then wipe over with GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Finally, finish by applying GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil.
