Pumpkin & ghost nails
Step by Step
Salon System nail expert, Karen Louise, has created a spooky Halloween step-by-step using Salon System GELLUX, available via wholesalers nationwide.
Step 1
Prepare the nails, file to shape, push back cuticle and gently buff the nail plate. Brush away any dust and wipe over with the GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Apply the GELLUX Fast Bond to nails and let dry. Then apply a thin coat of GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat to the nails and cure.
Step 2
Using GELLUX Live & Loud with a small detailing brush, create your pumpkin shape on the cuticle area of the thumb, index and pinky finger, and cure. Using GELLUX Purely White, create the ghost shape at the cuticle area of the remaining fingers, and cure.
Step 3
Using GELLUX Black Onyx outline the shapes and draw in faces, and cure. At the tips of the nails use GELLUX Black Onyx paint on the tip half way then paint on the other half using GELLUX Live & Loud then blend the two together in the middle to create the ombre effect tip. Then do the same with GELLUX Black Onyx and GELLUX Purely White, then cure.
Step 4
Finally, apply the GELLUX Shiny Top Coat, making sure to cap the free edge, and cure. Wipe the nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and apply GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil.
