Spring floral nail design
Step by Step
Tina Bell, head of education for Pure Nails & MD at Totally Polished, reveals how to create this fanciful floral nail design using shades from the spring 2020 Halo Gel Polish First Bloom nail colour collection.

Step 1
Apply Halo Gel Polish Base Coat and cure, followed by two coats of Halo Gel Polish in Primose (curing between each coat). Next, apply Halo Non Wipe Top Coat.
Step 2
Select several shades from the First Bloom collection for the petals and paint on the shapes using a detailer brush. Cure.
Step 3
Apply a second coat of colour to each of the petals but do not cure.
Step 4
Dust Halo's Pink acrylic powder onto the petals to create a matte 3D effect. Cure.
Step 5
Dust off the loose powder with a fan brush.
Step 6
Using the shade Wild Fern and a detailer brush paint around the petals at random. Cure.
Step 7
Use Halo Gel Polish in French White and a thin brush, add highlights to the petals. Cure.
Step 8
Add further highlights in the centre of the flowers and over the sides and tips of the petals. Cure and finish the nails with the Halo Gel Polish Non Wipe Top Coat.
