St. Patrick’s Day nails

St Patricks Day Nails Step 6

Seasonal & Occasions, Step by Step

Named after the patron saint of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious holiday, held annually on 17 March to celebrate Irish heritage.

Salon System expert, Julie-Anne Larivière, reveals how to create this shamrock design in time for St. Paddy’s Day. She used GELLUX, available from wholesalers nationwide.

Step 1
Prep all nails and wipe over with GELLUX Prep + Wipe. Apply GELLUX Fast Bond and allow to dry for 30 seconds. Apply the GELLUX Cover Pink Base Coat and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 2
Apply GELLUX Gel Polish in Gold Rush to the sides and tips of all nails, and cure.
Step 3
Create shamrocks at the tips of the nails using GELLUX Gel Polish in Rush Hour and cure. Use a small dotting tool to create six dots; two at the top, two on the left, two on the right either side. Then, with a fine detail brush join the dots to create three heart shapes. Join these in the centre and add a small stem.
Step 4
Paint a second shamrock on the left-hand side of all nails, using GELLUX Rush Hour and following the previous step.
Step 5
Apply GELLUX Shiny Top Coat and cure. Wipe nails with GELLUX Prep + Wipe and apply GELLUX Nail & Cuticle Oil to finish.
