Spring/Summer, Step by Step
Get summer-ready with Salon System nail expert & owner of Paint by Jaz, Jaz Moger, who has created a star-studded step by step using the GELLUX Festival Edit.
Step 1
Start by prepping the nails and filing to a round shape. Push back the cuticle using the Salon System Cuticle Handy Manicure Tool and remove the cuticle using the Gellux Erase Cuticle Remover and cuticle clippers. Buff the nail plate and cleanse nails with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Apply Gellux Fast Bond followed by one coat of Gellux Light Pink Builder Gel and cure for 60 seconds.
Step 2
Using Gellux in Headliner, paint one star onto each nail. This looks good when the stars are only half on the nail so start painting the star anywhere and imagine you are continuing onto the skin, before curing for 30 seconds.
Step 3
Do the same again using Gellux in Where’s My Welly. If there’s room to do more than two stars per nail, then add another one in. Cure nails for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Then, using a fine liner brush, outline the stars with Gellux Purely White and cure for 30 seconds.
Step 5
To finish the look, apply a coat of Gellux Shiny Topcoat, cure and then wipe over with Gellux Prep + Wipe. Finally, finish by applying Gellux Nail & Cuticle Oil.
