A REMINDER OF THE BRIEF:
Annabel Maginnis, the ultra-girly nail queen & founder of Glitterbels, is embarking on a sparkling journey across North America to celebrate Glitterbels’ official launch into the U.S., Canada & Mexico.
Known for her pink, whimsical aesthetic (& often seen with her pink Range Rover, Persian cat & unicorn flair), Annabel transforms every destination into a world of glitter, colour & nail art fantasy.
To mark this milestone, Glitterbels invites NASNA competitors to take part in Annabel’s North American Dream challenge.
You are tasked with creating a five-nail design inspired by one of Annabel’s dream destinations, reimagined through your own artistic style with a distinct Glitterbels twist.
Let your creativity shine through your chosen city’s vibe, culture and colour palette while maintaining the signature pink, sparkly, high gloss glamour that defines Glitterbels.
WHICH DESTINATION WILL YOU CHOOSE?
1. Annabel in New York City.
Vibe: Editorial chic meets pink power. Think fashion-forward nails inspired by:
Shopping in SoHo.
Carrie Bradshaw’s stoop (pink trench moment).
The Met Gala red carpet.
Lower East Side rooftop cocktails.
The pink pier in Brooklyn.
2. Annabel in Los Angeles.
Vibe: Hollywood glam meets influencer sparkle. Think nails that belong on Sunset Boulevard:
Golden hour glow on Sunset Boulevard.
Rodeo Drive shopping spree.
Pink pool float at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
Star-studded premiere moments.
Malibu Pier cruising.
Nobu Malibu (sushi-inspired shimmer and pearls).
3. Annabel in Austin.
Vibe: Yeehaw Barbie meets rhinestone rebel. Draw inspiration from:
Pink cowboy boots at a drag brunch.
Glitter fringe twirling at The White Horse.
Rooftop margaritas at Taquero Mucho.
Sequinned saddle moment at Rodeo Austin.
4. Annabel Skis in Banff, Canada.
Vibe: Après-ski glam in pink faux fur. Think icy tones, snowflake sparkle and high-shine finish:

5. Annabel in Mexico City.
Vibe: Cultural richness meets pink fantasy. Capture bold artistry through:
Frida Kahlo-inspired florals.

Xochimilco’s colourful boats and blooms.
6. Annabel in Orlando.
Vibe: Theme park sparkle meets beauty industry royalty. Channel your inner theme park princess with:
Pink cotton candy at Magic Kingdom.
Glitterbels glamour at Premiere Orlando.
Poolside sparkle at a luxury resort.
Retro diner vibes at Mel’s Drive-In.
CREATIVE DIRECTION:
Choose one destination as your design inspiration.
Submit a five-nail set that visually tells the story of Annabel’s North American Dream in that location.
Incorporate Glitterbels products where possible.
Designs will be judged on creativity, composition, finish, colour story and theme interpretation.
GLITTERBELS RULES:
The finished nail design must include at least 50% pink (any shade, any finish) – think Glitterbels' signature style.
There are no limits on products, embellishments or techniques: think fantasy meets avant-garde to tell a story across finger nails.
Use Glitterbels products where possible. You may use other products of course, but please only show Glitterbels products in your video.
DELIVERABLES:
Up to 15 high-quality photos of your nail design on a WHITE background: a close-up of each nail and photos with all 5 nails in view. Submit from the top, side and front angles. Do not alter or retouch these photos.
A reel-style video (up to 5-minutes long) demonstrating your creative process, pro tips and techniques.
Write-up: Share a written explanation or story behind your nail design. (700 words max.)
Answer the following in your video or write-up:
Why you choose Annabel’s destination and what you would do if you were her guide in that city.
What excites or inspires you about the chosen destination and why Annabel would love it.
Why your nails match the Glitterbels glam vibe.
