COURSE BITES: Post-Graduate Diploma in Oncology Hand, Nail and Foot Treatments

Course Details: Attendees of Jennifer Young Training School’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Oncology Hand, Nail and Foot Treatments course will learn about the biology of cancer and its treatments and their side effect. Alongside this, students will examine the emotional impact of diagnosis, treatment and the personal impact of a cancer diagnosis.

The course teaches nail technicians how to welcome those affected by cancer for a hand, nail and foot treatment and how to adapt the routine according to the client and their conditions and preferences.

Key areas also include hygiene and client consultation. The subject of medical consent is also discussed. Medical consent is not required as standard after completion of courses. However, students will learn when and how it is appropriate to seek medical consent.

Duration: One day

Location: The Jennifer Young Training School regularly runs courses nationwide

Requirements: Level 2 in Beauty. Level 3 is required for other courses.
