Cynthia Erivo’s top 10 nail looks from the Wicked press tours

Partial to a long, highly stylised nail, Cynthia Erivo defies gravity with every set she wears.

We have a trio of nail techs to thank for the actress’ show-stopping claws during the promotion of Wicked and Wicked: For Good: Mycah Dior (@clawzbydior_), Shea Osei (@shadesofshea_) and Rose Hackle (@rosedoesmynails).

We’ve rounded up Cynthia’s top 10 tantalising tips from the 2024 and 2025 Wicked press tours…

US nail artist, Rose Hackle (@rosedoesmynails), used OPI to craft this intricate emerald set for the Australian premiere of Wicked.

London-based nail pro, Shea Osei (@shadesofshea_), created this gembellished green and pink design for Cynthia’s London 2024 premiere look.

Mycah Dior of @clawzbydior_ made use of the OPI Wicked Collection, with shades, Nessa-ist Rose, Deflying Gravity and Black Onyx featuring heavily on Cynthia’s red and black talons.

The OPI Wicked Collection was again put to good use by Mycah Dior for Cynthia’s NAACP Image Awards look, with white sculpted 3D rings adding a dramatic touch.

Cynthia took flight with these bird-inspired claws by Mycah Dior. The nail artist detailed her creative process using OPI in the caption of her Instagram post about the style.

Time stood still for this set by Mycah Dior, which saw the nail artist incorporate clocks and gold chains onto the actress’ extra long talons.

Shea Osei helped kick off the Wicked: For Good world press tour by transforming Cynthia’s claws to suit the location of first stop, Sãu Paulo.

The second stop on the 2025 press tour was Paris, and saw Shea Osei craft a dark, glamorous set inspired by the City of Light.

For the London premiere of Wicked: For Good, Shea Osei focalised royal blue hues with layered sparkle to ensure Cynthia’s hibiscus-inspired nails made a soft yet standout statement. She used The GelBottle Inc (TGB) products, including Gel Polish in Denim, Bolt and Dramatic.

Shea Osei used various The GelBottle Inc Gel Polish shades to create this ‘enchanting garden’ look for the New York premiere of Wicked: For Good. The nail artist topped the enhancements with TGB Pearl Chrome for an added ethereal element.

Shea explains: “I used rich and royal blues with glitter and chrome, and hand-painted everything. The overall look is feminine and soft, and I used glitter and chrome to elevate the nail look. I find that a shimmer finish is essential for this, as it makes everything more magical.”
