What a year 2017 was. Our industry witnessed so many changes and exciting developments and while its quick pace can often be somewhat stressful, isn’t it exciting that it’s such a thriving sector – and one that shows no sign of slowing down?
From new product launches to techniques and innovated shapes, our nail world affords much discussion. We see this interest reflected in the consumer sector, owing to women’s magazines upping their beauty content and a new wave of ‘influencers’ promoting beauty news and content across the world wide we. This buzz is great for business – as interest piques with clients – but it means you need to be increasingly conscious of staying ahead of the competition.
At Scratch, we consciously endeavour to offer advice and tips in both the mag and across the website to help keep your feet firmly in the name game, but it’s down to you to take action. Think of what you would like to work on in 2018 and try and revitalise your business approach or practice your new skills.
The important thing is never to lose sight of what’s important; your happiness and the satisfaction of your clients. Making people happy is the best part of the job for hair and beauty professionals, according to recent research by Direct Line for Business, and long may it continue.
