The London College of Beauty Therapy (LCBT), one of the UK’s ‘largest specialist, further education funded training colleges’, has announced the appointment of Caroline Neville MBE as its first patron.

Caroline is a founding member of Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW), which has been promoting the beauty industry since 1992 and has over 10,500 beauty professional members worldwide. She is also its longtime executive president, with this year marking her 30th on CEW’s leadership team.

In 2018, Caroline was appointed a Member of the British Empire for her contributions to the UK beauty sector.

The announcement of Caroline’s patronage coincides with LCBT’s own milestone: 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the college’s founding. Industry leaders gathered at a special event to celebrate three decades of LCBT’s impact on beauty education, where the patron was formally unveiled.

In a statement following the event, the London College of Beauty Therapy said: “Caroline’s patronage of LCBT reflects her long-standing relationship with the college, including her regular attendance at its annual Star Awards celebrating high-achieving students.”

Caroline commented: “I have had the pleasure of seeing the London College of Beauty Therapy grow over many years, and have witnessed first-hand the important role it plays in helping young people gain the skills to succeed in the beauty industry. I am honoured to become the first patron of LCBT and delighted to continue supporting the future of the industry.”

Lee Lucas, principal & CEO of LCBT, added: “Caroline Neville is a figurehead of the beauty industry across the UK and beyond through her work with CEW, and we are privileged to have her as our patron.

“Her passion for the beauty industry and reputation for nurturing entrepreneurial talent make Caroline the ideal person to take on this role, as we seek to help young people get started in a sector where nearly two thirds of workers are self-employed.”
