Valerie Delforge, founder of international beauty business strategist consultancy, The Delforge Group, has launched book, I’d Rather Do It Myself – from Micro-Management to Leadership.

Exploring the concept of micro-management from its definition to causes and consequences, I’d Rather Do It Myself – from Micro-Management to Leadership seeks to provide beauty business managers and leaders with the tools and systems to manage effectively, published by TGH International.
Prompted to write her book based on The Delforge Group clients’ experiences with micro-management, Valerie Delforge also used her commercial experience from Clarins, Urban Retreat and L’Occitane, as well as her role as head of spa operation at Steiner UK and running her beauty salon, to help.
Valerie comments: “I have had my fair share of micro-managers in the past, and many of them were aware of the issue but unable to change it. My book aims to liberate micro-managers, help them to move forward in their way of thinking, and allow them to revisit the way they think, act and function.
“Micro-management has a detrimental effect on the success of a business – something I have witnessed first-hand on too many occasions. This book has been a labour of love, and it is dedicated to all the micro-managers I have helped and continue to help overcome their challenges and see their workload differently. It is also aimed at those who want to start learning about leadership to grow on a personal and business level to navigate the challenges that life throws at them.”
