The making of MUSE

“The idea for MUSE came about when I saw the impact of high-quality equipment and tools on my students,” Becci shares. “After years of promoting other brands, I realised that I would love to have my own, where I have total control of the quality and products, in line with feedback from customers and students.”

Together with her business partner, Becci started creating a brand that would offer ‘high-quality, professional yet affordable equipment and tools for nail technicians’. Thus, MUSE was born.

The brand aims to be ‘inclusive, welcoming and friendly, while helping the nail community do amazing things’. To do this, Becci has focused on the support side of MUSE: “When you invest in a MUSE product, you not only get a product you can trust, you also receive support.”

She continues: “We are all about community and love to give advice and help to other nail industry professionals. The products are there to assist you in being the best nail technician you can be and stand out with stunning prep, perfect application and nail knowledge.”

Creating a community

MUSE first launched with the MUSE EFile, a small range of E-file bits and a dust extractor. The latter has now become the brand’s most popular item. “We can’t believe the response we have had to the dust extractor,” Becci shares with a smile. “Every time we get it back in stock, it flies out again.”

Now, the brand sells products including hand tools, nail brushes and a hygiene range. MUSE also offers training courses for E-file use, with a team of seven educators across the UK delivering essential training to techs.

“I want to keep expanding the range so we can be a go-to place for nail technicians,” Becci emphasises. “We are constantly listening to our customers and audience, and adapting as we go.”

MUSE puts nail technicians at the forefront of every decision. “We have a really wide range of customers, but I would say our average one understands the importance of investing in professional equipment, as well as the difference it makes to them and their work,” Becci says.

Not only are the tools trustworthy and made to ‘stand the test of time’, but they are aesthetically geared towards individual nail techs. “You can choose your vibe depending on your branding,” Becci shares. “This was really important to us, as we know styles differ from tech to tech.”

The future of MUSE

As a multi-business owner, educator and nail tech, Becci splits her time between her salon, training academy and MUSE. Based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Becci and her team are dedicated to providing reliable services and creating a community of ‘ongoing support, advice and cheerleading’.

“Our goal is to be the go-to E-file and equipment brand for nail technicians and to be a household name within the industry,” Becci shares. “We also want to grow the education side of MUSE and have more educators across the UK and Ireland hosting our EFile course. I personally would love to see MUSE in all salons, academies and on every nail technician’s desk.”
